DODIK: I WILL NOT ABANDON POLICY OF SERBIAN NATIONAL DEFENSE AGAINST BOSNIAK NATIONALISTS
SKELANI, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik stated today in Skelani that he will not abandon the policy of Serbian national defense against the nationalist expansion of Bosniaks in this area.
Addressing those gathered at the commemoration marking 33 years since the suffering of Serbs in Skelani on this day, Dodik emphasized that every day is a day of Serbian suffering, not only in this war but also in World War II, and that injustices against the Serb people are recorded on a daily basis. "However, we must not stop gathering, and we must not stop remembering," Dodik stressed. He underlined that it must never be forgiven that a five-year-old child was killed, as was the case in Skelani, nor that such acts are considered heroism, recalling the killing of Petar and Pavle Golubović in Konjic, which, as he said, shows that this was an entire ideology directed against Serbs. "Now they are selling us the story of BiH. We must reject BiH in the form of state organization as they have imposed it, by undermining the Dayton Peace Agreement," Dodik said. He also noted that the Dayton Peace Agreement had to be accepted, more than was desired, because it meant the end of the war and the establishment of peace based on a political agreement, but added that it was later systematically dismantled. "They installed the Court of BiH, which serves to protect criminals. Naser Orić was prosecuted before the prosecutor's office in Bijeljina, and then they created their own rules and said they had the right for the Sarajevo court to take over any case across BiH," Dodik said. He added that the case against Orić was removed from the original jurisdiction, after which Orić began appearing publicly and making various claims, stressing that those who kill are also those who lie. "Nothing prevents them from lying," Dodik said. In that context, he also referred to the vote in the UN General Assembly on the resolution on Srebrenica, explaining that the body consists of 192 countries and that voting rules require a majority for decisions, while around 80 countries voted in favor of declaring genocide in Srebrenica. Strong Muslim forces numbering several thousand fighters from Srebrenica, under the command of Naser Orić, attacked Serbian villages around Skelani at dawn on January 16, 1993. That day, as many as 69 residents of the area were killed, two-thirds of them civilians, including several children. A total of 165 local residents were wounded. Of the 30 captured, half did not survive torture in detention facilities in Srebrenica, while four are still listed as missing.
