DODIK: VOTING FOR OR AGAINST REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IN FEBRUARY 8 REPEAT ELECTIONS

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 17 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that in the upcoming repea snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, voters are not choosing between Siniša Karan and Branko Blanuša, but between Karan and Sarajevo’s desire to decide who will sit in Serb institutions.

"That is why our task is not only to win again, but to win even more convincingly," Dodik said. He emphasizes that the February 8 voting is a vote for or against Republika Srpska. "Whether it exists for the Serb people who live in it – or for those five in Sarajevo and Blanuša in Banja Luka, who, in their desire to seize power, see nothing but hatred toward me," Dodik added. He noted that it was no coincidence that the entire diplomatic corps and the legitimate representatives of the Croat people attended the Christmas reception organized by Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, while no one from the Bosniak political bloc appeared. "This only confirms the policy that is being stated ever more openly in Sarajevo: need for five Serbs in Sarajevo and one in Banja Luka, that Serbs exist only as numbers for outvoting and as a tool for governing Republika Srpska, never as an equal people," Dodik added. Stating that where the entire world sees the Serbs and Republika Srpska as a fact, official Sarajevo sees a target, Dodik said that Republika Srpska would keep growing stronger - institutionally, economically, and politically. "That is why, in the weeks ahead, it is necessary to decisively finish the job that does not suit Sarajevo, even more strongly and even more resolutely," Dodik posted omn X.
