DODIK: WITH TOP ISRAELI OFFICIALS ON ALL FORMS OF COOPERATION
JERUSALEM, JANUARY 25 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that during his visit to Israel he will hold talks with top Israeli officials on all forms of cooperation, primarily the exchange of security and other data.
"Israel is a leader in security technology, and we will discuss certain possibilities to apply some of these solutions here as well. In any case, I am pleased to be here today and that tomorrow I will already have a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, and on Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu," Dodik said. He emphasized that meetings are planned with five to six members of the Israeli government, among them the ministers of foreign affairs, diaspora affairs, and trade. "There is a high degree of mutual understanding between us and Israel. We remain committed to the policy of a free Israel and a state that functions freely and be organised by Jews in the way they believe it should be," said Dodik, who is visiting Israel together with the Acting President of Republika Srpska, Ana Trišić-Babić. He adds that he will also inform his interlocutors about the situation in Republika Srpska, which, as he says, has been placed in shackles called BiH. "BiH is not desired for us. It was set up in such a way that global elites wanted to eliminate Republika Srpska, the Serb people, and Christianity in general in that area, in order to insidiously strengthen the Muslim component of BiH and make life impossible for Christians," Dodik said. He stressed that there are many elements that confirm this view and believes he will encounter understanding. "These are friends here. Of course, they face many challenges, but at this moment we need understanding and support. We believe we share the same values of the modern world: a state for the people, a people who is free and unconditionally set the understanding that without a state there is no freedom as their main goal," Dodik said. He emphasizes that Israel is a state fighting for its freedom and has the right to do so. "We understand that kind of story because, in a way, the enemy is almost identical - extreme, motivated by political Islam, trying to organise society in the way they believe it should be, with no place for others or for differences. This is something we also witnessed, when mujahideen were brought to us from all over the world," Dodik said. He warned that caution is necessary, because in BiH, especially within Muslim communities, there are many individuals who were part of the Islamic State and have now returned to BiH. "We must take that into account," Dodik told RTRS.
