SERBIA’S WATER POLO TEAM EUROPEAN CHAMPION
BELGRADE, JANUARY 25 /SRNA/ – The Serbia’s water polo team won the gold medal at the European Championship in Belgrade after defeating Hungary 10–7 in the final.
In front of their home crowd, after an eight-year break, the “Dolphins” returned to the European water polo throne. The final match was played at the Belgrade Arena in front of around 13,000 spectators. The Greek national water polo team won the bronze medal after defeating Italy 12–5 in the match for third place earlier this evening. The European Water Polo Championship, the 37th edition and the third to be held in Belgrade, lived up to the high expectations of the audience and water polo fans.
