KOŠARAC: SRPSKA DELEGATION'S VISIT TO ISRAEL PROVIDES ADDITIONAL IMPETUS FOR STRENGTHENING AND ENHANCING COOPERATION

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JANUARY 26 /SRNA/ - The multi-day visit of SNSD President Milorad Dodik and the Republika Srpska delegation to Israel is significant in many respects and provides additional impetus for strengthening and enhancing cooperation in all areas, said Staša Košarac, member of the SNSD Presidency.

"I would particularly highlight the discussions on security challenges and the issue of Islamic radicalism, which both Israel and Republika Srpska face. I believe this will be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on how to combat this pressing issue," Košarac emphasized. We are witnessing, Košarac says, that there is a growing problem of Islamic radicalism in BiH, with the return of jihadists from the territory of the so-called "Islamic State" and other conflict zones being a particular concern. He emphasized that Republika Srpska and Israel maintain traditionally good relations, characterized by a high level of mutual respect and understanding. "The visit of President Dodik and the Republika Srpska delegation is yet another confirmation of good cooperation and friendly relations with Israel, as well as of Republika Srpska's international visibility and the credibility of its policies," said Staša Košarac, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers. SNSD President Milorad Dodik and Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić-Babić are on a multi-day official visit to Israel, where they will meet with state officials. The delegation also includes Radovan Kovačević, a Serb member of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
