STEVANDIĆ: THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF ST. SAVA, SPREAD RECONCILIATION AND UNDERSTANDING
SKOPJE, JANUARY 27 /SRNA/ - President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said this evening at a St. Sava's Day Academy in Skopje that there is no division in St. Sava, but rather unity that reconciles brothers and preserves spiritual and state peace.
"There is no deviation from the path of St. Sava, only his path, whose edges are shown by angels. There is no poison of St. Sava, only a cure," Stevandić emphasized. According to him, there is nothing bad-no word, saying, or symbol-that can be associated with St. Sava, adding that "even if someone were to try, it would not endure." "In today's times, when the world is shaking, when war and peace are on a knife's edge and we do not know which way things will go, it is important that we understand one another together and that through the spirit of Svetosavlje we spread the spirit of reconciliation and understanding and preserve our communities, especially the Serbian community in North Macedonia, which I believe is living its best days," Stevandić stressed. He added that Serbia, as the mother country of the Serbian people, has risen again, not only on the pedestal of power. "Serbs are among the few nations that do not have a deep state, but instead have a deep culture that reaches beyond borders and needs no passport, a culture that here in Skopje shows respect for other nations, as well as self-respect for its own tradition and history," Stevandić said. He thanked the hosts for the invitation and conveyed the warmest and most sincere greetings of the people and institutions of the Republika Srpska. Stevandić attended the St. Sava's Day Academy in Skopje this evening on the occasion of the national holiday of Serbs in North Macedonia. The Academy was also attended by the envoy of the President of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, as well as the president, deputy prime ministers, and ministers of the Government of North Macedonia, and ambassadors of Serbia, China, BiH, and other countries.
