DODIK: ONLY THOSE PEOPLES WHO HAVE THEIR OWN STATE ARE FREE
BUDAPEST, JANUARY 31 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that today in the world only those peoples who have their own state are free, emphasizing that many people have given their lives to preserve the identity of the Serb people.
Speaking at the Saint Sava official ceremony in Budapest, Dodik has said that he wanted to have his own state and that he respects Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who wants to strengthen his own people. "Why do some think that this is bad?" Dodik asked. He states that he supports Orbán in his efforts to defend Hungary from the onslaught of neoliberalism, which, according to him, offers the loss of national and state identity. Dodik stresses he does not want any conflict and that he is a man of peace. He notes that the Serb and Hungarian peoples are connected by Christianity and expressed gratitude to Orbán for good and tolerant relations. "This is a synergy between Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Hungary. I am convinced that through the political processes led by the Hungarian prime minister and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, our interests can be achieved," Dodik said. He says he wants to be part of the success of the Serb people and to be there in difficult times. Dodik emphasized that the Order of the Self-Government of Serbs in Hungary, awarded to him this evening at the Saint Sava official ceremony for merits to the Serb people, he shares with the people of Republika Srpska, Serbia, and his Hungarian friends. He said that Saint Sava represents life and guidance, and that he is proud that his family guided him toward the Saint Savahood.
