MILOVANOVIĆ: NO PUNISHMENT FOR RADICAL ISLAMISTS IN A COUNTRY OF SELECTIVE JUSTICE
BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 11 /SRNA/ - Security expert Anatolij Milovanović told SRNA that the recent gathering of Bosniaks at Hasin Vrh near Bihać is not an isolated incident but is becoming the rule, as radical Islamists in BiH know they will not be held accountable because they enjoy the support of political Sarajevo and the judiciary there.
Milovanović stated that, under the laws of BiH, several criminal offenses were committed during the gathering of Bosniaks at Hasin Vrh near Bihać, where wartime flags were displayed, firearms were discharged, and chants of "Allahu Akbar" were heard. He emphasized that in any state governed by the rule of law, they would face criminal prosecution, but not in BiH, where, as he put it, the authority of the High Representative prevails, something unprecedented in modern legal practice, and where criminal proceedings are still conducted only against Serbs. He added that the best example of selective justice, which in legal theory constitutes injustice, is the first-instance verdict of the Court of BiH sentencing Serb Miodrag Malić to three years in prison for raising three fingers and holding photographs of the first President of Republika Srpska Radovan Karadžić and the former Chief of Staff of the Republika Srpska Army General Ratko Mladić at an opposition rally in Banja Luka. "For the extremely nationalistic and religious gathering of Bosniaks near Serb returnee settlements, as well as for numerous similar offenses before that, no one will be held accountable," Milovanović said. He pointed out that this location was not chosen by accident and that the aim was to make life unbearable for the few remaining Serb returnees, thereby cementing the ethnic cleansing of these areas. "Bihać, however, is not an isolated case but is becoming the rule. Radical Islamists openly display national and religious extremism, knowing they will not be held accountable due to the strong support of political Sarajevo and the local judiciary," Milovanović said. He added that there is also tacit support from the West, particularly the British, who, he claimed, direct the activities of the successors to the mujahideen terrorist formations from the previous war, as they represent their foot soldiers in the Balkans. "The British rely on radical Islamists in BiH and in Kosovo and Metohija as their foot soldiers to retain influence in the Balkans, which is a region of strategic importance for them," he said. Milovanović added that the actual executors of the British agenda on the ground are members of the Wahhabi movement. "It is important to emphasize that this movement was founded in Saudi Arabia by the British Crown and that, alongside the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and other extremist Islamic organizations, from a security perspective, it is a terrorist organization, formed, financed, trained, and controlled by Western intelligence services," Milovanović said. He added that, since the British withdrew from Afghanistan and Iraq, and given that their proxies in Ukraine are clearly suffering defeat, they are left with attempting to open a new front to maintain the strategic positions in Europe that they previously held. "For this purpose, the successors to Islamic terrorists and mercenaries who came to these areas during the Bosnian civil war, and who remained despite agreements for their deportation, can serve them. Under the protection of the political authorities in Sarajevo, they live as full citizens in the Federation of BiH," Milovanović recalled. He emphasized that they represent a real security threat, as they have already demonstrated in the terrorist attack in Zvornik in April 2015, when a Serb police officer was killed, two others were injured, and in other terrorist attacks in BiH. Milovanović pointed out that, according to even the European Commission's report, a particular security challenge is posed by the "airsoft clubs," of which over 40 are registered in BiH. They attract followers who wear military-style uniforms with wartime insignia by conducting training sessions in these clubs. "Furthermore, members of hunting organizations in the Federation of BiH are equipped with the most modern military rifles and optical sights, and the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska has operational information indicating that the hunting grounds secured by private agencies are being used as training centers," said Milovanović. He reiterated that radical Islamists and their followers have political support from the top levels of power in Sarajevo. "Previously, this support came from the SDA, and now it also comes from other structures. International military and police forces in BiH do not pay attention to them, do not view them as a potential terrorist threat, but rather as allies, and no matter what they do, they remain invisible to the BiH judiciary. That is crucial," emphasized Milovanović.
