ELECTION OF SINIŠA KARAN AS PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA CONFIRMED

SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ – Siniša Karan has been elected president of Republika Srpska, the Central Election Commission /CEC/ confirmed today.

At an urgent correspondence session, the CEC adopted a decision confirming and publishing the results of the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, according to which the election of Karan, the SNSD candidate, was officially confirmed. It was stated at the session that there were no requests for a recount, nor any objections or appeals regarding the accuracy of the published results, thereby meeting the conditions for the confirmation of the election results.
