GROWTH FOR 20 CONSECUTIVE QUARTERS
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 2 /SRNA/ – The gross domestic product /GDP/ of Republika Srpska, based on quarterly estimates, amounted to BAM 18.28 billion last year and was nominally 6.2 percent higher compared to 2024, while in real terms it increased by 1.9 percent, read the data of the Republika Srpska Institute of Statistics.
Real GDP growth in Republika Srpska in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to the same period in 2024, stood at 1.9 percent, marking 20 consecutive quarters, or five years, of real GDP growth. By activity classification areas, in the last quarter of the previous year real growth in gross value added of 5.5 percent was recorded in the information and communications sector, while financial and insurance activities saw growth of 4.7 percent. Manufacturing industry registered decline in gross value added by 5.4 percent in the observed period.
