SOKOLAC, MARCH 5 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić stated that he had received information from the Mayor of Sokolac Strahinja Bašević that the construction of tourist facilities is planned within the complex of the former New Romanija, as well as the launch of a production segment, and emphasized that the Government of Republika Srpska is ready to support the project but will wait for an official letter containing specific details.

"If we realize what they told me they would submit as a proposed initiative, we will have a real gem here. Based on that proposal, we will move towards the Investment-Development Bank and enter the procedure concerning the trading of shares," Minić said after the Government session. He explained that the municipality of Sokolac intends to build tourist facilities there, such as a swimming pool, as well as buildings and business premises, and to re-launch the production segment of this once extremely important company for the region. Minić emphasized that, while he is at the head of the Government of Republika Srpska, no work will be launched without a bank guarantee to ensure proper execution. The prime minister said that during his visit to Sokolac, he spoke with residents and that he is satisfied with the level of trust the Government of Republika Srpska enjoys in the Sarajevo-Romanija region. Speaking about the return of citizens from the Middle East, Minić said that the Government of Republika Srpska had been ready to pay BAM 400,000 for a charter flight.
