DODIK: WOMEN SHOULD BE GIVEN BEST POSSIBLE POSITION IN POLITICAL LIFE

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 20 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik has stated today that women should be given the best possible position in political life and that Republika Srpska has great potential when it comes to women who can hold important positions.

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 20 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik has stated today that women should be given the best possible position in political life and that Republika Srpska has great potential when it comes to women who can hold important positions.

Dodik says that his professional career is full of practical examples of this, as his closest associates are women. He said the Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović is a true example of a woman who has been one of the dominant political figures in Republika Srpska for decades. "This is not just a story or a statistical fact, but practical proof of how it works, as we have numerous examples of women holding responsible positions in society," Dodik told the press before the start of the panel discussion titled "Women in the Politics of Republika Srpska from Its Establishment to Today: Can We Do Better?", which is ongoing. He emphasized that, based on his experience, women are loyal in political life and do not create problems or divisions, which can be expected from men. "Women are more combative in politics than men, who tend to calculate. In our patriarchal society, regardless of the theory of a man being the pillar, it has always been proven that where a woman is stable, success is guaranteed," Dodik said. The panel discussion on the topic "Women in the Politics of Republika Srpska from Its Establishment to Today: Can We Do Better?" is organised by the Republika Srpska Gender Equality Centre. In addition to Dodik, Cvijanović is also participating in the discussion, which is attended by the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić, ministers in the Government, and representatives of institutions, public and political life.
