KOŠARAC: POLITICAL ALLIANCE AROUND BEĆIROVIĆ TARGETS SRPSKA AND SERB INTERESTS

SARAJEVO, APRIL 6 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac assessed that those gathered around Denis Bećirović /SDP/ do not represent any kind of alliance united for BiH, but rather a group opposed to Republika Srpska and everything Serb in BiH.

“They have always been part of and an extension of SDA policies against Srpska. All political approaches coming from Sarajevo are framed by false and opportunistic narratives. The best example was their loud support for /former US president/ Biden, followed by servility toward /Donald/ Trump’s administration after his victory,” Košarac pointed out. If they were genuinely committed to BiH, he added, they would understand that it is only viable as a Dayton-based structure composed of two entities and three constituent peoples. He pointed out that through their anti-Dayton policies they demonstrate that they do not support BiH as it is the only possible framework, but rather their vision of a unitary, Muslim-dominated BiH, in which there is no place for the Serb and Croat peoples. “They are not in favor of equality and agreement between the two entities and three constituent peoples, nor of mutual respect and cooperation, but instead promote narratives against Srpska, its institutions, President Milorad Dodik, and the leadership of Srpska,” Košarac said. He added that it is surprising that after so many years as active political actors, they still fail to understand the need to correct their political mistakes and respect the positions of the Serb people and the institutions of Srpska. Košarac stated that it is evident this political grouping fears changes in political relations within the Federation of BiH and seeks to strengthen anti-Dayton, anti-Serb, and anti-Croat policies through consolidation. “We are aware of their political motives and attempts to continue attacks on Srpska. We are gathered around the policies of President Dodik, which will once again demonstrate a nationally responsible and politically decisive response to such pressures,” Košarac said. He added that their attempts to minimize the capacity of Srpska only serve as additional motivation and strength in achieving clearly defined political goals, which are close to realization. “They can only dream of a BiH shaped by the model of political fundamentalism from Sarajevo. An unfulfilled dream,” Košarac concluded on Instagram. Leaders of 14 parties from the Federation of BiH last week signed a Declaration on the Protection and Affirmation of the State of BiH aimed at strengthening it and expressed support for Bećirović in what they described as the protection of the country’s strategic interests.
