DRVAR, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - The Serb delegate to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament Goran Broćeta congratulated the News Agency of Republika Srpska, SRNA, on its 34th anniversary, stressing that without this media outlet the voice of the Serb people in FBiH would remain unheard.

Broćeta said that for Serbs living in FBiH, SRNA is one of the most important media outlets, without whose engagement many of the problems faced daily by Serb returnees in the entity would never have reached the public. “Thanks to SRNA's reporting, many of our issues have had a positive outcome,” Broćeta stressed. He extended sincere congratulations to the management and all employees of the News Agency of Republika Srpska on its 34th anniversary and expressed hope that SRNA will continue its development. “I believe that each future anniversary will find you as an even stronger and better organized media outlet and a leading information center in our region,” Broćeta said. Today, the News Agency of Republika Srpska, SRNA, is marking its patron saint day, the Annunciation, and 34 years of operation. SRNA was founded by a decision of the National Assembly of the then Serb Republic of BiH on the Annunciation, April 7, 1992, in Pale as the Serb News Agency - SRNA. Since 1998, the agency’s headquarters has been in Bijeljina, and by decision of the Government of Srpska on March 27, 2008, it received its current name - News Agency of Republika Srpska - SRNA.
