COMMEMORATION OF DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE IN NDH ON APRIL 18 AND 19

KOZARSKA DUBICA, APRIL 9 /SRNA/ - The Day of Remembrance for the victims of genocide against Serbs, Jews, and Roma in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ will be observed on April 18 and 19 in Kozarska Dubica and the Donja Gradina Memorial Area.

The commemoration program begins on April 18 at 08:00 in the Cultural Center with the memorial academy Majka Kozara/Mother Kozara. The central part of the observance will take place on April 19, starting with a Divine Liturgy at 08:30 in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Kozarska Dubica. The program will then continue at the Donja Gradina Memorial Area, where participants are expected to gather at 11:15. The laying of wreaths and flowers at the Topole burial site is scheduled for 11:30, followed by a memorial service and religious commemoration for the victims of the NDH genocide at the Hrastovi burial site at 12:00. The observance will conclude with addresses by officials at 12:45. Tanja Tuleković, Director of the Donja Gradina Memorial Public Institution, confirmed to reporters that the program will be carried out according to the established schedule, with the presence of numerous officials and citizens. The event is organized by the Committee for the Observance of the Day of Remembrance, with support from institutions in Republika Srpska and Serbia, aiming to preserve the culture of remembrance and honor the innocent victims.
