SRPSKA WILL RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO POSTERS FEATURING MAHMULJIN
BANJA LUKA, APRIL 16 /SRNA/ - Radan Ostojić, the Minister of Labor, War Veterans’ and Disabled Persons' Protection of Republika Srpska, said that Republika Srpska will take part in the court proceedings against those responsible for organizing the marking of the formation of the so-called Army of BiH in Tuzla, involving posters featuring Sakib Mahmuljin.
Ostojić explained that Republika Srpska institutions will participate in the proceedings, provide appropriate witnesses, and seek convictions of the organizers of the event. “We will demand reciprocity in the actions of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of BiH, which consider themselves objective and impartial, in terms of filing indictments and ensuring adequate punishment for responsible individuals,” Ostojić told reporters in Banja Luka. Ostojić emphasized that the Islamic Community, supported by FBiH institutions, is marking the so-called day of the so-called Army of BiH in Tuzla by displaying a poster featuring Sakib Mahmuljin, a convicted war criminal shown reviewing the 7th Brigade, whose members included mujahideen who committed severe crimes and decapitated captured Serb soldiers on Mount Ozren. "Mahmuljin received a minimal sentence and fled abroad, while, on the other hand, Serbs are imprisoned for verbal offenses based on legal provisions imposed by high representatives," Ostojić concluded. Božica Živković Rajilić, President of the Association of Women War Victims of Republika Srpska, told reporters that Sakib Mahmuljin fought for BiH and is therefore considered a patriot in the FBiH. “If he is a hero, why did he flee abroad from the verdict of the Court of BiH?” Rajilić asked. The Veterans’ Organization of Republika Srpska filed criminal complaints against the organizers of the gathering in Tuzla, as the event was announced with a poster featuring the image of convicted war criminal Sakib Mahmuljin.
