DODIK TO RECEIVE JUDSON UNIVERSITY AWARD IN CHICAGO ON APRIL 25
BELGRADE, APRIL 17 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik announced that he will travel to Chicago on April 25 to receive a prestigious award from the Christian Judson University, one of the largest universities in the United States by student enrollment, after which he will head to Washington for a series of important meetings.
Responding to negative reactions from Bosniak politicians regarding the event, Dodik said it was unbelievable that they cited claims that "a certain Muslim community in the United States and Canada is protesting" because of his good relations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his alignment with the policies of US President Donald Trump. He noted that he will likely travel from Chicago to Washington, where he is expected to meet with several members of Congress, before returning to Chicago to receive the award and attend the ceremony, which will host more than 500 guests. Dodik explained that the award is presented to statesmen and has previously been granted to a number of US presidents, as well as other global leaders and prominent figures in the fight for freedom and democracy, making it a great honor for him. He added that he was pleased with the reaction from Sarajevo, saying that without such criticism, the overall impression would not be complete. Dodik reminded that Elmedin Konaković does not represent BiH and assessed that Sarajevo opposes everything coming from Republika Srpska. "But we will see, that is also a matter for the hosts. The people organizing the event have never questioned whether it will take place, so I will travel on the 25th and hold several important meetings," Dodik told reporters in Belgrade.
