ISTOČNO NOVO SARAJEVO, APRIL 29 /SRNA/ – Five young teams presented their business ideas today during the "Camp Up" startup program in Istočno Novo Sarajevo, with most concepts focused on IT solutions for developing user applications across various sectors.

First place went to a team that presented an application for contactless access to apartments, vacation homes and hotels without reception desks. The second-placed idea was an app for short-term babysitter rentals, while third place went to an application connecting pet owners with temporary caretakers. By participating in the program, attendees connected with entrepreneurs, startup founders and mentors, gaining contacts that will help them acquire valuable experience, advice, and support in both personal and professional development. Director of the Republika Srpska Innovation and Technology Park Nikola Dragović told reporters that during the three-day startup program, young entrepreneurs had the opportunity to turn their business ideas into mini business plans. Participants were able to develop innovative ideas, identify problems, form teams and learn the key steps in building a startup. Dragović pointed out that symbolic prizes were provided for the winners. "We will strive to continue providing the best teams with mentorship, professional and advisory support to elevate their initial ideas and help bring them to market with the support of investors", Dragović stated. He added that this was the sixth "Camp Up" program organized by the Republika Srpska Innovation and Technology Park, implemented in cooperation with the Development Agency of the City of Istočno Sarajevo at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. High school student Nataša Marić from Sokolac, whose team won third place, said the program was an opportunity to present ideas, work with mentors and receive useful advice. "I came with the idea of creating, together with my team, an application that will make it much easier for people to find someone to take care of their pets when they travel or have work obligations", Marić said. She explained that the idea came from noticing that people often have to cancel plans and trips because they have no one to leave their pets with. According to her, the application would allow both those willing to care for animals and those in need of such services to sign up. Participants also had the opportunity to learn which skills are key to successfully presenting and promoting innovative ideas.
