BANJA LUKA, MAY 7 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić has stressed today that the late head of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska Boban Kusturić was above all a great man, a symbol of humanity, sacrifice and courage.

"He flew where others did not dare to go, never hesitating to take part in rescuing people from snowdrifts, floods and fires, always where help was most needed," Minić wrote on the social network X. He stated that Kusturić would especially be remembered for countless medical transports of seriously ill patients and pregnant women, thanks to which many lives were saved and many families were given a new chance. "Boban's deeds remain a lasting testimony of honor, humanity and selfless service to the people. Eternal glory and gratitude!" Minić said. A commemoration for the tragically deceased head of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska Boban Kusturić was held at the Banski Dvor Cultural Center in Banja Luka. In addition to members of the Kusturić family, the commemoration was attended by President of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan, Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić, Prime Minister Savo Minić, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, Director of Police Siniša Kostrešević, ministers in the Government of Republika Srpska and representatives of public and political life. Before the commemoration began, the highest officials of Republika Srpska signed the book of condolences. Boban Kusturić will be buried today at 2:00 p.m. at the Vrbanja City Cemetery in Banja Luka.
