DODIK: HONOR CULTURE OF REMEMBRANCE ON SACRIFICE AND SUFFERING HISTORY

BANJA LUKA, MAY 8 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik congratulated all citizens of Republika Srpska on May 9, Victory Day over Fascism, with a message that the immense sacrifices made by the Serbian people in the struggle for freedom permanently oblige all generations to preserve the truth and nurture a culture of remembrance.

"Republika Srpska marks important historical dates with pride and dignity, among which a special place belongs to May 9 - Victory Day over Fascism, a symbol of the victory of the free world over fascist and Nazi evil," Dodik underlined in a post on X. Dodik emphasized that in the struggle for freedom, survival and the right to life, the Serbian people in the First and Second World Wars, as well as in the Patriotic Defense War, made enormous sacrifices, leaving behind a deep mark of suffering, but also of unwavering courage and dedication. "These sacrifices permanently oblige us never to forget them, to preserve the truth, nurture a culture of remembrance and proudly pass on to future generations the memory of our glorious and suffering history," Dodik said.
