RUSSIAN SIDE WILL WORK IN SECURITY COUNCIL TO ELIMINATE CONSEQUENCES OF SCHMIDT'S ACTIONS
MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan said that the Russian Federation fully understands the effects of the actions of the illegitimate /High Representative/ Christian Schmidt, and that it will work within the United Nations Security Council to eliminate both his actions and their consequences.
Karan stated that the current political situation in BiH regarding the undermining of the Dayton Peace Agreement was emphasized during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his associates. He added that the hosts reaffirmed their principled position in support of the consistent implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, especially following the intervention of the illegitimate foreign official Christian Schmidt, whom he accused of creating major disorder and effectively attempting to undermine the agreement entirely, particularly through actions against the legally elected President Milorad Dodik and by undermining the electoral will. "They fully understand that," Karan told reporters from Republika Srpska after the meeting in Moscow. He added that both sides concluded that relations between Republika Srpska and Russia are friendly, brotherly, and strategic, and that the Russian Federation is Republika Srpska’s most important international partner. He added that during the meeting, special attention was given to all projects between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska across a wide range of sectors. He said it was noted that strong projects are already being implemented in the field of agriculture. "We discussed a large number of projects that we are implementing and should continue to develop in the field of energy, which is extremely important today," Karan said. Karan said that President Vladimir Putin is fully informed about all ongoing projects. "We will try to develop, together with them, some of our capacities in the field of civil protection, firefighting, and other similar challenges. This is just another confirmation of good cooperation. It continues, it is being strengthened, and it seems to have gained new momentum that will be additionally visible for the benefit of our citizens," Karan concluded.
