LINTA: SERB SUFFERING IN POFALIĆI PROOF OF BIAS OF BiH JUDICIARY

BELGRADE, MAY 17 /SRNA/ - The judiciary of BiH is selective and biased, and proof of this is that no one has been held accountable for the monstrous crime committed against Serbs in the Pofalići neighborhood of Sarajevo, even though the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska filed criminal charges against 51 individuals, said Miodrag Linta, president of the Alliance of Serbs from the Region.

Linta pointed out that despite the criminal charges, none of the masterminds or perpetrators of the monstrous crime against around 200 Serb civilians in Pofalići, including 64 victims who were older than 60 years of age, have been prosecuted. “This is one in a series of insults to the families of Serb victims. It is clear that the judiciary of BiH is selective and biased,” Linta stressed. He reminded that in May 1992, Muslim units attacked and brutally killed around 200 Serbs, whose property was looted and burned, according to a statement from the Alliance of Serbs from the Region. “The Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH have failed to prosecute the mass suffering of Serbs in the Pofalići neighborhood, located in the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža, and many other crimes committed against Serb civilians and prisoners of war during the conflict,” Linta stated. He reiterated that Serbia should establish a memorial center for Serb victims across the territory of the former Yugoslavia and begin a planned and systematic struggle for the truth about the nature of the wars and the mass suffering of the Serb people during the 1990s. As he stated, this particularly refers to the territories of Croatia, BiH, and the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
