BANJAC: CONSTANTLY INSIST ON CANCELLING IMPOSED DECISIONS

BANJA LUKA, MAY 17 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska should continuously insist on abolishing everything imposed by individuals with bad intentions toward the Serb people, as well as on annulling decisions that led to the transfer of competencies, said Darko Banjac, president of the National Party of Srpska /NPS/, in a statement to SRNA.

Banjac stated that their abolition should be insisted upon regardless of the geopolitical situation. He said that everything that occurred due to international pressure and imposition, and was not the result of agreement on the internal political level, should be annulled. He added that the international position of Republika Srpska is now completely different, with support from serious global powers. "I believe that the constitutional changes made during Wolfgang Petritsch's mandate and the introduction of the Council of Peoples should be annulled. Republika Srpska should move toward changing its Constitution. The Council of Peoples did not exist at the time the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed," Banjac stated. He emphasized that high representatives in BiH have never had the authority to impose decisions, neither under international law nor under the Dayton Peace Agreement. "It is legal violence when one person can impose laws on a country or dismiss certain officials, and prohibit them from having pension, social, and health insurance. That is beyond all reason," Banjac said.
