FAMILY FESTIVAL AT MOŠTANICA MONASTERY BROUGHT TOGETHER HUNDREDS OF PARTICIPANTS FROM SRPSKA AND SERBIA
KOZARSKA DUBICA, MAY 17 /SRNA/ - The first Family Festival was held today in the courtyard of the Moštanica Monastery near Kozarska Dubica, gathering hundreds of participants from Republika Srpska and Serbia.
Through a rich cultural and artistic program, social activities, and creative workshops, a strong message was sent about the importance of the family as the foundation of society. The festival was opened by the Mayor of Kozarska Dubica, Igor Savković, who stressed the importance of nurturing family values in a time of many challenges. “Family is the pillar of every healthy society. It is our duty to preserve tradition, faith, and unity, and to pass on to younger generations the values we grew up with. Such events are of great importance because they bring people together and remind us of what matters most,” Savković said. The host of the festival, Abbot Sergije, said that the monastery has always been a place of gathering, prayer, and community. “It is a joy to see such a large number of families, children, and young people in a holy place such as Moštanica Monastery. The family is a small church, and it is through love, faith, and mutual respect that we build a healthy society and the future of our people,” Abbot Sergije emphasized. Marko Romić also greeted those present on behalf of the President of Republika Srpska, highlighting the importance of preserving the family and traditional values. One of the festival organizers, Miroslav Lajić, said that the aim was to bring together tradition, culture, faith, and family in one place. “The large turnout of participants showed that people recognize the importance of such events,” Lajić said.
