INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION CASTS BiH ITS LIFE
BANJA LUKA, MAY 18 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that there was never a common will for BiH to fight against international intervention, and that now that intervention first and foremost casts life to the concept of BiH.
"It made the country impossible, and left the Bosniaks as political minors, without the ability to make their own decisions," Dodik pointed out. According to him, the Bosniak attitude was based on the understanding that foreigners always fulfill their wishes, but all this belongs to the legacy that will make Bosnia a totally backward country. "The only thing left for us Serbs is to save ourselves from that sinking ship. It is completely irrelevant whether OHR will be there or not. We have shown that such things can not only be fought against, but that development can also be ensured in that not at all equal fight," Dodik told Politika. Dodik stated that even if the international intervention were to stop today, it would leave behind a lot of mess in BiH, and that it would be naive to expect that someone from their side would clean up the mess. "If their plan was to disorganize BiH, then /Christian/ Schmidt, with the help of international ignorance, did a great job. They liked to manage other people's country, to create problems, and now, as we heard, some are starting to see it. Some have seen it before - Russia and China, for example - and now America is also noticing it, while Great Britain and Germany are unwilling to see it. We remain of the opinion that the fight against guardianship is essentially a fight for national freedom," said Dodik. Dodik emphasized that there is no clear international consensus on what should be done with BiH in general. "We are not waiting for that consensus, because we have shown that we can fight for our position. Whoever is appointed in the future, whoever it is, if he does not pass the verification of the UN Security Council and the procedures provided for by the Dayton Peace Agreement, he will be just as unacceptable to us as Schmidt," said Dodik. This means, he added, that the signatories of Dayton - Republika Srpska and Serbia, Croatia, the Federation of BiH and BiH itself, in which the Republika Srpska participates with almost half, must have a say. "That composition must discuss the candidate at some forum and propose the candidate to the Security Council. Anything else is a desecration of the procedure," Dodik believes. Dodik said that everything that happened before was an attempt to deceive, and that Republika Srpska was only pointing to what was written in the Dayton Agreement. "We don't know who will be the new high representative and, whoever it is, will probably not be fundamentally different, but Republika Srpska must have a say. We have heard such tones in the UN Security Council - Russia insists on it, and America is also looking for a broader consensus. Should we now counter them and listen to Britain, which has been causing us problems for two centuries," said Dodik. Dodik added that the position of Republika Srpska is that we do not need a high representative at all. "From the point of view of benevolent world powers, the correct approach would be for them to tell us: try to arrange your relations, and if you are unable to do so, then you should separate. What is wrong with that? The only thing that can really be defined as bad is conflict. But we refuse that," Dodik pointed out.
