ADŽIĆ: INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO SAY WHETHER IT SUPPORTS DEVELOPMENT OR IS BLOCKING IT

GRADIŠKA, MAY 19 /SRNA/ - Gradiška Mayor Zoran Adžić says that in the case of the bridge over the Sava River in this town, the international community plays a crucial role and should clearly state within an hour whether it supports the development of Gradiška, Republika Srpska, the FBiH, i.e. BiH in general.

Adžić assessed that the case of new and old bridges over the Sava in Gradiška is a typical picture of the state of affairs in BiH. "BiH is a country of an issue. It is one issue after another, one blockade after another. We cannot understand it," Adžić said at a joint press conference with the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers, Srđan Amidžić. He added that he cannot understand how a single individual can block an entire city, Republic, BiH, while everyone remains silent. "He has been doing this persistently for six months, and we have reached a situation where ordinary and businesspeople are suffering, not only in Gradiška, but throughout Republika Srpska, the FBiH, and BiH," Adžić stated. He adds that today he received countless calls from businesspeople, citizens, and colleagues from Sanski Most, Bihać, Cazin, and Velika Kladuša, all asking what is happening. "And from here I ask, if the BiH institutions cannot reach an agreement, where is the international community now? Where is the OHR? Where are the other institutions of the international community to come here and say: the bridge is open? We have a phantom bridge that both exists and does not exist," Adžić said. He states this is not about one individual, but about policies that hate Republika Srpska, that hate ordinary people both in Republika Srpska and the FBiH, i.e. BiH, and that hate tourists and visitors coming to Gradiška, Republika Srpska, and the Federation to enjoy the tourist attractions and natural beauty, only to experience this inconvenience. "This is not the will of one so-called individual. It is not. Where is the international community?" Adžić asked. He noted that this is the main gateway of BiH and Republika Srpska toward the EU, which is closed. "What matters here is for the international community to clearly say within an hour whether it supports the development of Gradiška, Republika Srpska, the FBiH, i.e. BiH, or whether they are part of the blockers obstructing the progress and development of the entire BiH and seeking to create conflicts, divisions, and discord among us," Adžić emphasized.
