KOVAČEVIĆ: SCANDALOUS - BLANUŠA ADMITTED THAT SDS IS READY TO HAND OVER REPUBLIKA SRPSKA’S PROPERTY TO SARAJEVO!
BANJA LUKA, MAY 20 /SRNA/ – Radovan Kovačević, the Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, says that SDS leader Branko Blanuša last night, naturally for Sarajevo-based media, made scandalous and shameful claims that BiH institutions, namely the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, should decide on the so-called state property, thereby directly admitting that SDS is ready to hand over Republika Srpska’s property to Sarajevo.
Kovačević stressed that for 20 years Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik and the SNSD had successfully resisted every pressure aimed at allowing anyone else to decide on, negotiate over, surrender, or manipulate the property that, under the Dayton Peace Agreement, belongs to Republika Srpska. "All the pressure from Sarajevo, real and fake high representatives, embassies, and various ill-intentioned individuals and power brokers had only one goal - to break us by taking away our property. To all of them, we always sent the message that we believed we would never have to explain to the leader of the once state-building SDS party - there is no such thing as `state property of BiH`!", stressed Kovačević, who is also a SNSD spokesperson. He recalled that the BiH property issue was settled by the Dayton Peace Agreement in such a way that 49 percent of the territory belongs to Republika Srpska and 51 percent to the FBiH. Likewise, Kovačević added, the Constitution of BiH clearly lists the competencies of BiH, among which property is not included, while it is also stated that everything not explicitly listed as a competency of BiH belongs to Republika Srpska and the FBiH, including property. "If we listen to poor Blanuša and allow the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to decide on Republika Srpska`s property, or, as Blanuša and Sarajevo call it, `state property,` it is completely irrelevant what they ultimately decide. Even if they decide that it belongs to Republika Srpska. Because, the one who has a say and makes the decisions is the only actgual owner. Besides, a decision once made can always be amended," Kovačević posted on X. Therefore, Kovačević emphasized, everyone must know that Sarajevo will never decide on Republika Srpska’s property. "Together with the people of Republika Srpska, we will ensure that Branko Blanuša and SDS never decide on our property. It is obvious that they, too, are choosing Sarajevo over Republika Srpska. They will not succeed. Republika Srpska will prevail!", Kovačević stated. He also posted a video of Blanuša`s appearance on FBiH media outlets in which Blanuša said that, as he put it, such a major issue as state property should be decided by the institutions of BiH - the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
