KOJIĆ: BiH HAS REACHED ITS DEFINITIVE END WITH DURAKOVIĆ ACQUITTAL

SREBRENICA, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – Head of the Organisation of Families of Captured, Fallen Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica Branimir Kojić said that BiH has reached its definitive end following the acquittal of former commander of the 43rd Brigade of the so-called Army of BiH, Ramiz Duraković, of war crimes against Serb civilians in the Čajniče area in 1993.

“Sarajevo judges went even further in insulting Serb victims; the judgment even reads that it is not disputed that the crimes were committed and that he commanded the operation, but that it was not proven that he knew about the killings,” Kojić told SRNA. He added that Serb victims are being insulted and belittled, and asked where those who now try Serbs were educated. “I am trying to choose my words, but this has crossed all boundaries of humanity, common sense, and ethics,” he said. Kojić stated that “the presiding judge of the Appellate Chamber would not defend even her own father, brother, or husband better,” claiming she acted not as a judge but as Duraković’s defence lawyer. He said the judiciary of BiH resembles the proverb “to be the judge, the jury and the executioner”, adding that in BiH “the judge defends you and acquits you if you killed Serbs”. He claimed that the Court of BiH has no credibility or legal integrity to continue operating, calling it “a firing range with the Serbs as targets”, “The Court of BiH has killed more Serbs and Serb families than Duraković and similar perpetrators ever did,” Kojić stated. He called on representatives of Republika Srpska and BiH institutions to urgently address the issue of the Court of BiH’s work performance. “It is obvious that snipers from comfortable courtrooms will not stop shooting at everything with Serb prefix, worst of all - they will not stop shooting at already killed Serb victims, their families, and justice,” he said. The Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH today acquitted former commander Ramiz Duraković of war crimes against Serb civilians in the Čajniče area in 1993, stating that it was not proven he had knowledge of the crimes committed.
