MINIĆ: SRPSKA INSTITUTIONALLY READY FOR LARGE-SCALE ECONOMIC PROJECTS
BANJA LUKA, MAY 28 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that investors from France, Germany and Italy are already investing in Republika Srpska, particularly through greenfield investments worth tens of millions of euros, demonstrating that Srpska has the institutional capacity to implement major economic projects for the benefit of its citizens.
In his closing remarks at the "Road Ahead" session held as part of the first European Summit on Economy and Security organized by the Gold Institute in Banja Luka, Minić highlighted the importance of the region's proximity to the EU and access to the large European market, as well as the significance of its energy and natural resources. "We want to be part of the global economy, global security and the international order", Minić said. According to him, the global order is shifting from a unipolar toward a more complex, multipolar system, which will require new and modern international law reflecting new global relations. Minić stressed the need to respect the Dayton Peace Accords and called on international representatives to remain guarantors of its implementation. "We want the Dayton Peace Accords to be respected, and we ask you, as guarantors of its implementation, to ensure that remains the case. At the same time, we are prepared, in future international relations and whenever agreed upon, to sign agreements that will make Republika Srpska and BiH partners with all the capacities important for economic and genuine security", Minić emphasized. He assessed that a number of highly valuable messages had been heard at the summit. "I believe we will send a clear message. International relations and international law, like everything else, undergo change. Those changes should be agreed upon and planned and every relationship should ensure a future without major problems, conflicts or unforeseen circumstances. I want to believe we will maintain good relations. We are ready to demonstrate everything we discussed today through future cooperation and I am very pleased that you were all here today", Minić concluded. The first European Summit on Economy and Security, organized by the Gold Institute for International Strategy, was held today in Banja Luka with more than 100 participants from over 20 countries.
