GRBIĆ: THE INCONTROVERTIBLE QUALITY OF THE "PETAR KOČIĆ" THEATER FEST
BANJA LUKA, MAY 30 /SRNA/ - The Director of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, Dijana Grbić, told SRNA that high-quality theatrical works will be performed at the "Petar Kočić" Theater Fest, which begins on June 4, and emphasized that this year's event will feature an expanded edition.
"This means that we are already performing plays in local communities as part of the 'The National with the People' /Narodno sa narodom/ program, which the National Theatre of Republika Srpska has prepared," Grbić said in SRNA's podcast. She emphasized that the official program consists of six plays. "With the support of the Office of the President of Republika Srpska, we are managing to continue our high-quality work. After six days of top-tier plays from the region, the festival will close with the play 'Martha's Share' /Martin udio/, which has garnered immense public attention and represents the crown of a successful season," Grbić pointed out. She mentioned that audiences in Istočno Sarajevo and Trebinje will also have the opportunity to see a portion of the selection from the "Petar Kočić" Theater Fest. "There will be a lot of content. We will also host an exhibition opening as an official part of the festival. The play 'Semper Idem' by the theater from Sombor will also be performed. This play is distinctive because it lasts for six hours. It has a specific form and scale, based on the novel by Đorđe Lebović and directed by Gorčin Stojanović," Grbić states. She assessed that cooperation with the theater from Sombor is highly significant and that tickets for the aforementioned play are always in high demand. "It is an exceptional story, and this play demonstrates how high-quality content can hold attention for a very long time. We also have our own play, 'Martha's Share', and the feedback for this story has been very good," says Grbić. She noted that the play "Martha's Share" is directed by a young director and an authorial team from the National Theatre of Republika Srpska.
