THIRTY YOUNGEST BASKETBALL PLAYERS TAKING PART IN CAMP IN DVOROVI
BIJELJINA, JUNE 22 /SRNA/ - The Summer Sports School for 30 of the youngest and most talented basketball players, boys and girls born in 2011, was officially opened today in Dvorovi near Bijeljina.
Aleksandar Đurđević, Vice President of the Basketball Federation of Republika Srpska, said that the camp is free of charge and that most of the costs are covered by the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of Republika Srpska. "Through various Federation programs held throughout the year, we identify the most talented players who have participated in games, competitions, and tournaments. Their coaches select them, and this camp is the culmination of their year-long work," Đurđević told reporters at the opening of the camp. He expressed satisfaction that the camp is being held at Dvorovi Spa and at the local elementary school in Dvorovi, where excellent conditions are available. Đurđević said that the basketball players have access to a sports hall, swimming pools, and the spa restaurant, expressing confidence that all participants will return to their municipalities, cities, and clubs as better players, enriched with new knowledge and friendships. The camp is being held as part of the Summer Sports School of Republika Srpska project, organized by the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of Republika Srpska, and will run until Saturday, June 27.
