SELAK HOLDS TALKS WITH PRESIDENT OF CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF RUSSIA

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 24 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska Goran Selak and the President of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation Valery Zorkin exchanged views today during a meeting in St. Petersburg on constitutional justice, the rule of law, and the functioning of judicial institutions, with emphasis on the importance of preserving legal certainty, judicial independence, and respect for the constitutional order.

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 24 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska Goran Selak and the President of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation Valery Zorkin exchanged views today during a meeting in St. Petersburg on constitutional justice, the rule of law, and the functioning of judicial institutions, with emphasis on the importance of preserving legal certainty, judicial independence, and respect for the constitutional order.



Particular attention was devoted to the role of the highest judicial institutions in safeguarding constitutionality and legality, as well as to strengthening cooperation and the exchange of professional experience between the judicial institutions of Republika Srpska and Russia, the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska said in a statement. The meeting was held as part of the official visit of the Republika Srpska delegation to the Russian Federation and its participation in the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The President of the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska Danijela Milovanović and the Acting Assistant Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska Neda Blagojević also attended the meeting.
