JAVOR: BAKIR'S SUPPORT REVEALS TRUE PURPOSE OF THE SARAJEVO DOCUMENT
PRIJEDOR, JUNE 24 /SRNA/ – Prijedor Mayor Slobodan Javor said it is interesting that Bakir Izetbegović has been publicly praising a document signed in Sarajevo in recent days, adding that it is even more telling who put their signatures on it. He argued that Branko Blanuša and Draško Stanivuković no longer need to explain whom they support or what they stand for.
"It is enough for the citizens of Republika Srpska to see who praises them, who defends them and who takes pride in their signatures. And when Bakir Izetbegović praises something, it is certainly not good for Republika Srpska or its people", Javor said in a statement to SRNA. He noted that Blanuša and Stanivuković have shown they are willing to make deals with anyone in pursuit of power, including Bakir Izetbegović and political Sarajevo, which he said has spent years working to weaken Republika Srpska. "In their politics there are no longer any principles, dignity or red lines. What remains is only a desire to seize power at any cost, even if the path to it is paved by those who openly work against Republika Srpska, its institutions and its constitutional rights", Javor stressed. He pointed out for SRNA that it is important for the citizens of Republika Srpska to understand what lies behind phrases such as the European path, the rule of law and the constitutional order. "Behind those formulations is nothing more than a promise from political Sarajevo that, with the help of illegitimate institutions, politically motivated proceedings, pressure and attacks on Republika Srpska, it will try to bring its political partners from Republika Srpska to power. Bakir Izetbegović is not offering them victory at the ballot box, because he himself knows they cannot achieve it. He is offering them force, political justice and the continuation of pressure against Republika Srpska", Javor warned. That is why, he said, the situation is now completely clear. While Milorad Dodik and SNSD continue to call for national unity and rallying around Republika Srpska, Stanivuković and Blanuša have not only ignored those calls but have, through their signatures, confirmed that they have chosen the other side. "They did not want to be part of a united front gathered around Republika Srpska. Instead, they chose to be part of a front gathered around Bakir Izetbegović and political Sarajevo", Javor added. He said that Republika Srpska will once again recognize who defends it and who is willing to trade it for political power. "United around SNSD and its democratic will, Republika Srpska will once again defeat every attempt by Bakir Izetbegović, Draško Stanivuković and Branko Blanuša to shape its government, regardless of where such a pact was signed or how they try to package it", Javor said.
