2027-2029 INVESTMENTS WORTH BAM 7.2 BILLION CONTRACTED
BANJA LUKA, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ – Investments by ministries and institutions in Republika Srpska totaling BAM 7.2 billion have been contracted for the 2027–2029 period, while BAM 3.5 billion is planned to be spent during that timeframe, according to the Draft Public Investment Programme adopted today by the Republika Srpska Government.
The programme analyzes 186 projects, including 91 currently under implementation and 95 proposed projects, the Government's Public Relations Bureau announced. "Additional investments amounting to BAM 4 billion have been identified as priority needs for which financing sources have not yet been secured. The total value of all proposed projects submitted by ministries and institutions amounts to BAM 9.77 billion," the statement read. An analysis of the sectoral structure of investments currently being implemented shows that the largest investments are concentrated in the energy, transport, healthcare, and agriculture sectors - 94.59 percent of total investments. Local self-government units were also involved in the preparation of the proposed 2027–2029 Public Investment Programme and submitted both projects already under implementation and priority projects lacking secured financing. "A total of 115 projects under implementation were reported, with an overall investment value of BAM 214.7 million for the 2027–2029 period. Domestic funding accounts for BAM 173.7 million, or 80.89 percent, of the financing for local self-government investment projects, while foreign funding amounts to BAM 41 million, or 19.11 percent, including BAM 8.3 million in loans and BAM 32.6 million in grants," the statement added.
