DOBOJ, JUNE 27 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić was today awarded the city’s highest recognition in Doboj – a plaque for outstanding commitment and assistance to the city, and he donated the cash prize to associations caring for persons with developmental disabilities.

In his address, Minić stressed that the award actually represents recognition of the Government of Republika Srpska, which has a responsible partner in Doboj, and recalled that only this year alone it allocated BAM 35 million for the city. He emphasized that Doboj and Republika Srpska have much to be proud of thanks to young people such as today’s award recipients, who represent the future. A city plaque was also awarded to the Jovan Dučić Grammar School. Along with the plaques, a monetary award of BAM 5,000 was also presented. The awards to Prime Minister Minić and school principal Tijana Vasiljević Stokić were presented by Mayor Boris Jerinić on the occasion of Doboj City Day, Vidovdan. Doboj City Day is celebrated on June 28 in memory of the first written mention of the city in a Dubrovnik letter to Hungarian King Sigismund dated June 28, 1415.
