INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING MEETING IN BANJA LUKA OPENS
BANJA LUKA, JUNE 27 /SRNA/ – The international swimming meeting "Borac NLB Grand Challenge 2026" has opened at the City Olympic Swimming Pool in Banja Luka, bringing together more than 200 competitors from countries across the region, as well as Austria and Tureky.
The event was officially opened by Republika Srpska Assistant Minister for Sports Danijela Ćapin, who said that competitions of this kind are of special importance because they bring together top athletes from different countries while promoting friendship, mutual respect, and values such as discipline, dedication, and fair competition. She added that the sporting event had received financial support from the Republika Srpska Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports and that it promotes not only swimming but also Banja Luka and Republika Srpska as successful hosts of international sporting events. Ćapin wished the competitors every success and expressed hope that they would achieve their best results. "May the best athletes win, in the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship," Ćapin said. The event is organized by the Borac Swimming Club.
