SERB CAMP INMATES TO TESTIFY ABOUT THE HORRORS IN RABIĆ CAMP

DERVENTA, JULY 3 /SRNA/ - The President of the Association of Camp Inmates of the City of Derventa Drago Knežević stated that an American prosecutor, alongside representatives of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH, is expected to visit the city because eight inmates want to testify about the horrors they endured in the notorious camp for Serbs in Rabić.

"The person against whom the legal proceedings are being conducted is currently in America. He once took me outside, forced me to kneel, handed me a gun, and demanded that I kill myself because, as he said, I was finished. However, the gun did not go off, after which he stomped on my chest and face with his boots," Knežević recounted. He noted that at the beginning of the war, there were numerous camps for Serbs in Derventa. "I was imprisoned in Derventa for two months, and for 15 days in Slavonski Brod, and we all went through unprecedented torture," Knežević emphasized. In 1992, Derventa was a veritable torture chamber for Serbs. Croat-Muslim forces killed everything that was Serbian in that area. A camp for Serbs was located in the building of the former Yugoslav People's Army Center Rabić, where they were tortured in the most monstrous ways.
