ANTI-SERB HATRED IN CROATIA HAS REACHED PATHOLOGICAL LEVEL
BELGRADE, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - Alarming graffiti appearing across Croatia show that hatred toward Serbs has reached a pathological level and that nowhere else in the world does such hatred spread with impunity, president of the Movement of Krajina Serbs Mile Bosnić told SRNA.
Commenting on the graffiti reading, "Kill a Serb and remove his organs, because the cats are hungry," which appeared in Slavonski Brod, Bosnić described it as a monstrous message. He added that, together with Ustaše slogans found in Biljani Donji and the message "Kill a Serb" written on a vehicle bearing Serbian license plates near Poreč, it demonstrates that the spread of hatred knows no bounds. "In addition to this, there was Marko Perković Thompson's concert in Zaprešić, attended by 50,000 people. Thompson is also preparing a concert in Vukovar. What the Croats are doing has reached the level of an illness," Bosnić said. He added that he could not understand why Croats continue to harbor such intense hatred toward Serbs, who, following the genocide during the Second World War and the ethnic cleansing of the 1990s wars, now remain in Croatia only in very small numbers. "There are hardly any of us left there, yet they continue to spread hatred and to conduct investigations and trials for war crimes. This is a deeply unhealthy policy pursued by what is supposedly a respected European country," Bosnić said. He also argued that this is a broader issue, referring to the EU, which fails to respond to such incidents while constantly speaking about human rights, freedoms, and democracy. Bosnić said that another example of pathology in Croatia was a recent statement by pro-Ustasha revisionist historian Igor Vukić, who wrote that what happened to Serb children from Kozara and elsewhere during the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ was "a magnificent humanitarian operation that will be remembered as the rescue of children". "Part of the responsibility also lies with us, because Serbia has not adopted a resolution on the genocide committed against Serbs in the NDH, nor does our state respond institutionally to such incidents," Bosnić said. He believes that the Catholic Church plays a key role in all of this by providing support for such actions and promoting the idea that what is being done to Serbs is pleasing to God. "All these Ustasha displays are essentially clerical-Ustasha in nature. They stem from the belief that God gave everything to the Croats and that, therefore, everything is permitted to them. They even claim that the proclamation of the NDH occurred through 'divine providence,'" Bosnić said. He expressed the belief that these developments are also a consequence of the fact that the Krajina Serbs no longer have their own state and stressed that Serbs in Republika Srpska should bear this in mind and safeguard Republika Srpska.
