ĐOKIĆ: SRPSKA COMMITTED TO BUILDING LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP WITH SVERDLOVSK REGION
BANJA LUKA, JULY 7 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska seeks to build long-term relations with Russia's Sverdlovsk Region and further deepen the cooperation already established, Republika Srpska Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić has said today in Yekaterinburg.
During the meeting with Sverdlovsk Region Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations Vyacheslav Yarin, Đokić discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian region. "We want to build long-term relations with such a partner. Cooperation between our universities has already been established and now needs to be deepened. The same applies to the industrial and economic spheres - we are ready to adopt technologies and use goods and services. Today, we face the practical challenge of identifying companies willing to become our reliable partners," Đokić said. The meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation between Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg and universities in Republika Srpska through joint educational programs, research projects, student and faculty exchanges, as well as direct workforce training programs tailored to the needs of industry, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Energy and Mining said in a statement. Yarin said the participation of the Republika Srpska delegation at the INNOPROM exhibition had become a good tradition, noting that such regular meetings enable continuous dialogue and timely consideration of issues of mutual interest. He pointed out that the Sverdlovsk Region is one of the Russian Federation's leading industrial regions, with a highly developed manufacturing sector serving the mining and energy industries, adding that companies in the region are ready not only to offer their products but also to adapt their solutions to the specific needs of Republika Srpska. Đokić also met today with the management of Polyplast-Khrompik, one of Russia's leading manufacturers of specialized chemical products for industry, mining and the energy sector. The meeting focused on opportunities to establish cooperation with businesses in Republika Srpska, exchange knowledge and technologies and explore potential investments and joint projects. Đokić stressed that Republika Srpska is interested in partnerships with companies that possess advanced technologies and extensive industrial expertise in order to strengthen economic development and enhance the competitiveness of domestic economy.
