NUŽDIĆ: SERB PEOPLE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT HUMILIATION

BANJA LUKA, JULY 8 /SRNA/ - The Director of the Republika Srpska Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons, Viktor Nuždić, said that it was necessary to put a stop to the rewriting of history and historical revisionism, and to show that the Serb people would no longer accept the humiliation that is persistently imposed on them from certain centres in BiH and abroad.

Speaking about the Declaration on the Protection of Vital National Interests of the Serb People in BiH, adopted yesterday by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nuždić stressed that it was important to demonstrate that Republika Srpska has protective mechanisms at its disposal. "These mechanisms can be activated if there is broad Serb unity and if a unanimous decision is adopted, as was, to everyone's satisfaction, done yesterday in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska," Nuždić told reporters in Banja Luka. He noted that this was particularly important, especially when it comes to banning the display of Ustasha symbols, and that this issue should continue to be insisted upon, given that genocide against the Serbs was committed in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/. "We cannot allow such symbols, which Serbs associate with death and suffering, to appear anywhere," Nuždić stressed. Nuždić said that the Serbs are a proud, heroic and long-suffering people, while imposed narratives about the Defensive-Patriotic War, established earlier within the system of the international community, have persistently sought to portray them as the guilty party.
