ORANGE ALERT ISSUED FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES, TEMPERATURES ABOVE 40 DEGREES EXPECTED IN EARLY AUGUST

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JULY 31 /SRNA/ - Air temperatures of up to 43 degrees Celsius are expected in Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH until August 5, prompting the issuance of an orange warning.

In Herzegovina and the north, maximum temperatures of between 39 and 43 degrees Celsius, and between 38 and 41 degrees Celsius, respectively, are expected, which correspond to red warning levels. Maximum temperatures in most areas will generally range between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius, which is within the orange warning range. The warning applies to the period from noon to 5:00 p.m., the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute said.
