KOJIĆ: INSTITUTIONS REMAIN SILENT, QUESTION IS WHETHER WOMAN MONSTER IS EVEN IN PRISON

SARAJEVO, August 1 /SRNA/ – Branimir Kojić, the head of the Organisation of Families of Captured, Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica, has said today that the public has still not received an answer as to who is responsible for the privileged treatment of Elfeta Veseli, the murderer of 12-year-old Slobodan Stojanović, or whether she is even in prison.

"The question is whether she is in prison at all, because we have no trust in those in the FBiH who are responsible for overseeing such matters," Kojić told SRNA. He stresses the question regarding Veseli's alleged privileged status should have been answered within an hour because the chain of command and responsibilities should be clear. Instead, responsibility was passed from one institution to another, followed by complete silence. "Such a monster should be kept tied up in a prison cell because the crime she committed, especially the manner in which it was carried out, clearly shows that this is not a person who can be considered incapable of committing another crime. She is an extremely dangerous individual, which is why it is necessary to determine who is responsible for her privileged treatment, and those responsible must be held accountable," Kojić added. He stressed that Republika Srpska would not give up its efforts to obtain answers and ensure that those responsible are punished. "We have had enough of the humiliation and disrespect shown to our victims, while in the Federation they do everything to portray such individuals as heroes. That is where we differ. You have never heard anyone from the FBiH condemn Elfeta Veseli, and even now no one is speaking about this disgrace," Kojić concluded. Elfeta Veseli was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the brutal murder of 12-year-old Slobodan Stojanović in the summer of 1992 in the village of Donja Kamenica near Zvornik. The boy had returned to the village to rescue his dog. After years as a fugitive, she was arrested in Switzerland in September 2016 and extradited to the judicial authorities of BiH in March 2017. She is serving her sentence in the prison in Tuzla, where, according to information that the competent authorities have neither confirmed nor denied, she enjoys special privileges, including time spent outside the prison.
