MINIĆ: CONSTITUENT PEOPLES SHOULD ELECT THEIR OWN BiH PRESIDENCY MEMBER
TESLIĆ, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić says that all constituent peoples in BiH should elect their own BiH Presidency member.
Responding to a journalist’s question in Teslić about Croatia politicians’ position that Croats in BiH should have their own constituency, Minić said he did not know how this could be arranged, since even what existed until now had not worked. “I am primarily focused on Republika Srpska and its institutions, which elect their member of the BiH Presidency. If there is some consensus, I am not opposed to Croats being given that opportunity as well,” Minić stressed. He expressed doubt that an agreement could be reached in BiH, recalling the constant attacks on Republika Srpska, starting with the property issue, the BiH Court’s decisions and all the criminal complaints, as well as the denial of “genocide.” Minić also expressed doubts about holding elections using new technologies, given that the equipment has not yet arrived. “Today is August 12, and the voting equipment has still not arrived, as confirmed to us by the Central Election Commission. The method of identification and voting is also unclear, as are the scanners and everything else, and how long the process will take. In other words, we have not even taken care of the basic things,” Minić said.
