PROCEEDS FROM VOLLEYBALL PLAYER'S JERSEY AUCTION IMPORTANT FOR RENOVATING FACILITIES

BILEĆA, AUGUST 17 /SRNA/ - The Vedar Osmijeh Association of Parents and Friends of Children and Young People with Developmental Difficulties in Bileća will use the €2,000 raised from the auction of renowned volleyball player Tijana Bošković's jersey to continue construction work on its premises, the association's president Miljan Kovačević told SRNA.

BILEĆA, AUGUST 17 /SRNA/ - The Vedar Osmijeh Association of Parents and Friends of Children and Young People with Developmental Difficulties in Bileća will use the €2,000 raised from the auction of renowned volleyball player Tijana Bošković's jersey to continue construction work on its premises, the association's president Miljan Kovačević told SRNA.



"So far, we have laid new floors, installed electrical wiring and lighting, and today we are starting to renovate the bathrooms," Kovačević said, reminding the public that a humanitarian hotline, 1433, is open until the end of August to support the association. He explained that saplings would also be planted in the association's yard and a new gate installed, and there are also plans to purchase a van to transport the association's beneficiaries to therapy sessions. According to him, there will be more humanitarian initiatives to support the continued work of the Vedar Osmijeh Association of Parents and Friends of Children and Young People with Developmental Difficulties in Bileća, including a basketball tournament that will be held in the town soon. The auction of the jersey belonging to renowned Serbian volleyball player Tijana Bošković, a native of Bileća, was organized by the Bileća Heritage Club in Serbia.
