STEVANDIĆ: ALWAYS READY FOR A SPECIAL SESSION
BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 19 /SRNA/ - Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić said that the Assembly leadership was ready to schedule a special session at which a new law on the Republika Srpska Government, proposed by Prime Minister Savo Minić, would be considered.
"It will be difficult to organize a special session before the end of the term, but it is not impossible. We are currently on a summer recess, but we are always ready for a special session to resolve any problems that may arise," Stevandić told reporters in Banja Luka. He also stressed that over the past four years, nothing had managed to disrupt the work of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, not the Court of BiH, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, or Christian Schmidt. "It is all behind us. We have survived and lived to see both criticism and praise from the State Department over those several years," Stevandić said. Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić previously said that he was seriously considering proposing a new law on the Republika Srpska Government before the end of his term.
