TREBINJE, AUGUST 19 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik has said tonight in Trebinje that the city is developing intensively, which all its residents can see, and that it is a city with future.

TREBINJE, AUGUST 19 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik has said tonight in Trebinje that the city is developing intensively, which all its residents can see, and that it is a city with future.

"Trebinje can expect significant investments. I am glad that we managed to complete the hospital, which is one of the largest projects in this city in the past 50 or 100 years. We keep moving forward," Dodik said after attending the festive evening service at the Cathedral Church and the ceremonial procession through the city. Dodik told the press that every time he comes to Trebinje, he sees new beauty and prosperity in the city, stressing that its greatest asset is its people. Speaking about his attendance at the evening service and the procession traditionally organised to mark the city's patron saint's day - the Transfiguration of the Lord, Dodik stresses that it is a wonderful event marking a major holiday of the Church and the faith. "Trebinje is widely known for its Transfiguration procession. The entire Serb world knows about it. I am glad to be here again this year, as I have been in all previous years. This is a day when we come together, when we assess what we have accomplished and what we intend to do in the period ahead," Dodik said. Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić also attended the festive evening service. Trebinje Mayor Mirko Ćurić thanked the residebts taking part in the procession tonight, noting that this is an event talked about throughout the year. "This is an event where there are no disagreements, when through the procession we transform ourselves for the better," Ćurić said.
