ROGATICA, AUGUST 26 /SRNA/ – Entrance examinations and enrollment of students in the branch of the School of Primary Music Education from Istočno Novo Sarajevo were held in Rogatica today, which will begin operating in the municipality this school year.

Rogatica Mayor Ninoslav Prelić also attended the entrance examinations and enrollment. He visited the branch’s premises, spoke with teachers and parents, and wished the prospective students much happiness and success. He said that the exceptionally high level of interest was the best confirmation that opening a music school was needed by the children of Rogatica and that their parents had enthusiastically welcomed the new opportunity. "I am pleased that we can see from the very first day how much interest there is in the music school. This is another important step forward for our children and for Rogatica in general. Our goal is to provide them with the best possible conditions for education and the development of their talents, while the music school is precisely such an opportunity," Prelić told SRNA. He stressed that the launch of the music school represents an important step forward in education and culture, as well as an opportunity for the youngest residents of Rogatica to develop their interests and talents in their own community, with qualified teachers and appropriate working conditions. The Municipality of Rogatica provided funding to renovate the premises at the Radenko Mišević Public Institution Centre for Culture and Sports, where the music school will have its classrooms. The space has been adapted to the needs of teaching and now includes three classrooms. In addition to renovating the premises, the municipality financed the purchase of musical instruments and school furniture, creating the necessary conditions for the branch to begin operating. This school year, students will be able to attend classes in three departments – piano, guitar and accordion, while enrollment in a preparatory class is also planned.
