KOVAČEVIĆ: CEC TO URGENTLY INVESTIGATE VULIĆ'S COMPLAINT OR ONCE AGAIN CONFIRM ITS ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE
BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 26 /SRNA/ - The SNSD is demanding that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ urgently investigate the report on illicit trading of polling station positions and irregularities in proposing candidates for polling station committees in Doboj, or it will once again confirm that they are absolutely incapable of organizing the upcoming elections in any professional or objective manner, said SNSD spokesman Radovan Kovačević.
Kovačević stated that the SNSD fully supports the complaint filed by the head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić to the Doboj City Election Commission. "Day by day, we are witnessing that everything related to the elections is an absolute circus, that the situation is completely disorganized. I really don't know who will have confidence in these elections, which the CEC, being illegal itself, is organizing in such an illegal manner, based on a law imposed by the illegal Christian Schmidt. It is a spiral of illegality, disorder, circus, and chaos," stated Kovačević. He added that he does not know how the CEC plans to get out of all this. "Now you have people from the SDS or from that other movement /PSS/ telling the citizens of Republika Srpska that they stand for and fight for Republika Srpska, while at the same time registering as polling committee members for Haris Silajdžić's Party for BiH, which advocates for the abolition of Republika Srpska," pointed out Kovačević, who is also a Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. He told RTRS that the SNSD demands that the CEC respond to Vulić's complaint. "We are stating clearly and unequivocally that we urgently demand the CEC to respond to the complaint, so we can see if they have any ability to do anything regarding the organization of these elections in any remotely professional manner. Unfortunately, it seems to us that there is nothing of the sort, but rather that day by day we are witnessing, as I have already said, a spiral of illegality, disorder, and chaos," Kovačević stated. The head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić told SRNA that she had filed a complaint with the Doboj City Election Commission due to serious suspicions of illicit trading of polling station positions and irregularities in proposing candidates for polling station committees for the upcoming general elections.
