MINIĆ: STRENGTHEN SRPSKA TO HONOR SACRIFICE OF SERB VICTIMS
PETROVO, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska will complete the search for those missing from the Defensive-Patriotic War, while strengthening its capacities so that the sacrifices of Serb victims are not in vain, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said.
"We will always remember our soldiers and all those who gave their lives for Republika Srpska, and we will strengthen Srpska and its capacities so that their sacrifice is not in vain," Minić said in Petrovo at a commemoration marking the Day of the Missing and Fallen in the Defensive-Patriotic War of Republika Srpska. Minić noted that Serb mothers still have nowhere to light a candle for their sons whom they continue to search for, and said that the situation must change. "And from this place, we want to send the message that Serbs suffered terrible losses, that they were attacked, that they defended their centuries-old homes, and that they were attacked by NATO and by mujahideen who beheaded Serbs and played football with their heads," Minić said. If the world does not see this, Minić said, we see it and we want this to be known. He stressed that Serbs in Republika Srpska must not be naive, but must remain united and strong together with Serbia if they want to preserve their republic. "Do you think the flags would not be tied together again, that we would not be persecuted again, that our heads would not be cut off again? Do you think it would be different? Do you see the messages we are receiving?" Minić asked. For that reason, he said, Republika Srpska must have the capacity and strength to protect its people. Minić stressed that Republika Srpska should be strengthened and seek allies so that the suffering experienced during the previous war is not repeated. "Those seeking some alternative, there is none. The world has become polarized, and there has been a clear differentiation between good and evil. We are on the side of good," Minić stated. According to him, the Serbian tricolor has always been on the right side of history, and never on the side of fascism or Nazism. "Long live Republika Srpska!" Minić said. The Day of the Missing and Fallen in the Defensive-Patriotic War of Republika Srpska is being commemorated today in Petrovo. Since 2021, the Day of the Missing and Fallen in the Defensive-Patriotic War has been observed in Republika Srpska on August 30, which is also the International Day of the Disappeared, established in remembrance of victims of wars, crimes against humanity and human rights violations.
