PEJIĆ FOUND ONLY HER HUSBAND'S SKULL

PETROVO, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ - Ružica Pejić from Vozuća, who lost 12 members of her family during the Defensive-Patriotic War, many of whom are still listed as missing, said she found only her husband's skull and continues to search for the remains of the others.

PETROVO, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ - Ružica Pejić from Vozuća, who lost 12 members of her family during the Defensive-Patriotic War, many of whom are still listed as missing, said she found only her husband's skull and continues to search for the remains of the others.

Pejić said she found the skull of her husband, Miladin, 13 years ago at a mujahideen camp in Kamenica, in the municipality of Zavidovići. "We keep asking where the rest of the bones are, as we suspect they were moved," Pejić said, alleging that Bosniaks have moved the remains of Serb victims from mass graves to secondary locations and presented them as their own. She cited a case in which, following the efforts and pressure of Rade Petrović, the remains of Serb victims from Visoko were returned to Banja Luka and identified. According to Pejić, the remains had been recorded as alleged Muslim victims found in a mass grave in Kamenica. Pejić, who attended today's commemoration of the Day of the Missing and Fallen in the Defensive-Patriotic War in Petrovo, said families of missing persons have unfortunately been left without adequate support and appealed to the institutions of Republika Srpska to become more actively involved in resolving the issue. On June 2 last year, Pejić made the first video recording documenting the suffering of her 12 family members in Doboj, as part of a multimedia museum project launched by the Public Institution Memorial Centre of Republika Srpska and supported by the Doboj City Administration.
